Reaching out to people in need

Boyle Street Community Services’ outreach workers seek out those who don’t or can’t easily access our services. They find people in need — including many hundreds who are living on the street and in the parks — and help connect them with the support they need. We provide basic needs such as food, clothing, housing, and medical supports to hundreds of people every month.

You can be part of our outreach program by donating money, warm clothing, personal hygiene products or new first aid supplies.

Outreach services include:

  • Downtown outreach – we focus on people who may be in need in the downtown area and link them with supportive programming
  • City-wide outreach – working with business, residents, faith communities and service organizations, BSCS reaches out to people who are homeless to find safer alternatives
  • Winter warming bus (November to May) – stocked with blankets and hot soup, the bus goes where the homeless are. We offer rides to shelters and connect people with services including housing.
