Donate In-Kind
What does it mean to donate “in-kind”?
To donate “in-kind” means to donate goods, rather than funds. Consider donating in-kind and help our community work towards their goals with the dignity of clean, weather appropriate clothing and hygiene items. When making an in-kind donation please consider the following two factors:
-
Providing for the physical well-being of those we serve
-
A focus on the comfort and dignity of our clients
Do you have items to donate right now?
We ask that gently used clothing items and other in-kind donations be directed to the Bissell Thrift Shop located at 8818 118 Avenue NW. In return, the Bissell Centre provides Boyle Street with essential items while surplus items provide support to those accessing the Bissell Centre. More information on the Bissell Thrift Shop can be found here.

Emergency Response Fund
Our ERF allows us to quickly respond to the immediate needs of our community in an efficient and sustainable manner. Please consider making a monetary donation to our ERF so we can purchase mittens, toques, boots and other items necessary to keep our community safe during extreme winter weather. You can make a contribution by going to our Emergency Response Fund Page today!
Third Party Fundraisers
Boyle Street supporters can host a third-party fundraiser to collect in-kind items to support vulnerable Edmontonians. From a sock drive at the office to a school-wide pledge to collect hygiene items, hosting a third-party fundraiser is a way to provide critical support for our neighbours experiencing poverty and homelessness. Learn more about third-party fundraisers here.
Here are some examples of what items are excellent donations for our community and which ones should be directed elsewhere!
