Urgent Need:
Winter Weather Protection
Emergency Response Fund (ERF) keeps our community safe by providing funds we can access when emergencies strike, including extreme weather. ERF allows us to be responsive to the immediate needs of our community in ways that center dignity and respect for all.
Our friends at Chandos are supporting our Emergency Response Fund by matching the first $10,000 - doubling the impact of your donations!
"We are excited to support the Emergency Response Fund because this type of work is 100% aligned with Chandos’ Purpose; We exist to build a better world. Also, our Community Mission which is to help build thriving communities via community contribution and social procurement.”
We Need Your Help Preventing Frost Bite and Hypothermia
Not everyone can find shelter and avoid the adverse effects of winter. Edmontonians experiencing homelessness and poverty are much more vulnerable to hypothermia and frostbite, which can result in missing fingers, toes and tips of ears. Our community members deserve to be protected from these effects, and our ERF is designed to deliver that basic safety and dignity.
Our ERF allows us to quickly respond to our community's immediate needs in an efficient and proactive manner. Please consider making a monetary donation to our ERF so we can purchase mittens and gloves, hand warmers, toques and socks and other items necessary to keep our community safe during extreme winter weather.
Thank you for supporting your fellow citizens who are vulnerable in our city – your donations save lives.
We are not able to accept donations dropped off at our locations. Please consider making a monetary donation to our Emergency Response Fund so we can purchase gloves, jackets, and other winter protection items to combat frostbite and hypothermia in our community.
